Advanced Trauma Operative Management ( ATOM )
Course Overview:
The Advanced Trauma Operative Management (ATOM), the course is designed for
surgeons to increase their surgical competency and confidence when operating on
patients with penetrating thoracic or abdominal trauma.
The course consists of lectures and animal lab. Each student will identify and manage
12 different injuries with 1:1 instructor/candidate ratio. There would be pre-course and
post course exams and evaluations online
